Far from civilization, hustle and bustle, amidst endless expanses, lives a mysterious northern people – the Khanty.
Stepan and Olesya are the parents of three charming daughters and a young, powerful son. 💖 They live at their camp as one big, happy family: their husband's parents, Iosif Ivanovich and Rimma Nikitovna, are with them, along with a herd of 300 domestic reindeer! 🦌

The Forest Khanty are an indigenous people of northern Russia, living primarily in the taiga zone of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yugra). They lead a traditional way of life based on hunting, fishing, and reindeer herding, preserving their unique culture amidst the region's intense oil and gas development. Yugra, located in the center of Western Siberia, is more than 50% covered by taiga.

The Khanty Lands are the traditional lands of the indigenous Khanty people in Western Siberia (primarily the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra), used for hunting, fishing, gathering wild plants, and reindeer herding. They represent a unique ecosystem where the traditional way of life, including the veneration of nature spirits and the bear, is preserved.
