Extra flat caliber 2209 (type Vympel/Вымпел) wristwatch was manufactured by both the First Moscow Watch Factory (1МЧЗ/ПОЛЕТ) and Minsk Watch Fatory (МЧЗ/ЛУЧ) from the early 60's. It is one of the thinnest Soviet mechanical movements that ever existed. It has 23 Jewels, it is Shockproof and belongs to the 1st Accuracy Class. In 1963, these watches have won gold medals at the Leipzig Fair and at the Soviet Economic Achievements Display. The First Moscow Watch Factory finished its production in 1970's, while "Luch" (Minsk Watch Factory) used it in their watches until the end of the Soviet era.
