Israel Denies Ceasefire as Thousands Wait at Egypt Border Crossing

Dozens of Palestinians gathered at the Rafah border crossing with the hope of leaving from Gaza to Egypt on Monday. Any possible reopening of the Gaza-Egypt border would allow vital aid into the area and some foreigners to exit.

The crossing remains closed but Blinken said Rafah will reopen, suggesting a truce had been agreed between the US, Israel and Egypt.

But the Israeli prime minister’s office denies a temporary ceasefire or the reopening of the border.
