A Lost Academy, An Eternal Painting

In the northern outskirts of Athens, there once stretched a quiet grove of olive trees. Tradition held that this land once belonged to the hero Akademos, who dedicated it to the city in exchange for Athens’ safety. From that moment, the grove carried a spirit of protection and sacrifice.
In 387 BC, the philosopher Plato established the first philosophical school in human history amid these trees. This was the Academy, a name that later spread across the world as the synonym for learning, but in its origin, it was little more than a woodland sanctuary where seekers gathered to pursue truth.
