How To Exclude ALL Mobile App Placements On Google Display Ads - In Under 1 Minute

In this super quick video I show you how to exclude mobile app placements in Google Ads (on Google Display Network campaigns) in less than one minute ... and before you make any cheeky comments about the video being longer than one minute, I'm not counting the outro.

To do this, you need to have Google Ads Editor installed on your PC/laptop.

Go here to download it, and then log in to your selected Google Ads account:

https://ads.google.com/home/tools/ads-editor/

From there, open up your selected display campaign.

In the left-hand "Manage" pane, find "Mobile App Categories, Negative" under Keywords & Targeting.

Click on the button that says "Add Negative Mobile App Category", then select all apps.

Save, and then post changes.

Voila, you have now excluded/blocked mobile app placements on this particular Google Ads display campaign.

Rinse and repeat for other campaigns as required.

I can't guarantee Google will always allow this (they have a nasty tendency to strip away targeting options over time) but for now it works.

If you want to exclude mobile app ad placements, then this is the fastest, easiest and most reliable way to do so.
