Police continue search in Salford after human remains found

Police are continuing to scour a nature reserve in Salford after the discovery of a torso wrapped in plastic.

Greater Manchester Police say human remains were discovered in Kersal Wetlands on Thursday evening (April 4).

On Saturday (April 6), GMP arrested a 20-year-old man from the local area on suspicion of murder. He remained in custody for questioning on Monday afternoon, accordoring to a GMP spokesperson.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log number 2695 of April 4 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
