largest Armies by state’s active military personnel in each year for the period 1816 to 2019. Military personnel are defined as troops under the command of the national government and are used for wars and represent as the army of a particular country and its a military comparison of these countries.
Troops in the reserves, colonial troops, irregular forces such as civil defense units, frontier guards and other quasi-military units were not included.
