3I/ATLAS: Interstellar Comet 2025 – A Stranger From the Stars

A mysterious visitor from beyond our Solar System: 3I/ATLAS is the third confirmed interstellar object ever recorded. It was first spotted on July 1, 2025, by the ATLAS survey telescope.
This comet is losing ~40 kg of water per second even at 3.5 AU — unprecedented early activity.
Infrared data from JWST show its coma is CO₂-dominated, with a CO₂/H₂O ratio among the highest ever measured for a comet.
On October 3, 2025, it made its closest approach to Mars (~29 million km).
It will reach perihelion (closest to the Sun) on October 29, 2025, then swing past Earth in mid-December before departing forever.
Could it be one of the oldest icy relics in our Galaxy?
Watch now to explore its path, chemistry, speed, and what it could teach us about alien star systems.
