Silvia Vasquez-Lavado spoke at Dominican University

On March 27, 2023 Silvia Vasquez-Lavado spoke with Amanda E. Machado about her new book In the Shadow of the Mountain. She is a humanitarian, mountaineer, explorer, social entrepreneur, and technologist living in San Francisco. In 2014, she launched Courageous Girls, a nonprofit that helps survivors of sexual abuse and trafficking with opportunities to find inner strength and cultivate their voices by demonstrating their physical strength. Courageous Girls has had projects in Nepal, India, the United States, and Peru.
