DIY Wall Bed (Based on Lori Wall Bed)

I've been asked what that giant goofy-looking shelf system is behind me. Well, here's your answer. It's a 'wall bed' based on plans from 'Lori Wall Beds'. It's different from a Murphy Bed in that the bed platform is completely separate from the frame. There are no hinges, levers, or hydraulics to help lift or align it. This makes for a very simple, very cheap, and very easy to move solution for a compact bed that's more comfortable than a hide-a-bed or inflatable without breaking the bank.

As mentioned in the video, Lori Wall Beds (https://www.loriwallbeds.com/products/lori-wall-bed) no longer appears to offer kits or plans however the design is fairly simple so even the moderately-competent wood-worker should be able to put something together for a couple hundred dollars or so - and you can tell your friends you built the monstrosity.
