4 Expert Tips for Marathon Recovery From a SEA Games Gold Medallist
NUH sports surgeon and two-time SEA games gold medallist in marathon and triathlon shares about the importance of recovery after running a marathon and four simple tips for effective recovery.
1) Sleep to let your muscles recharge
2) Opt to do low-impact activities for 1 to 2 weeks after your soreness has worn off
3) Address the nagging aches and pain that you may have been ignoring during training
4) Listen to your body and adjust your recovery plan accordingly
Participation in sports increases one's risk of being injured.
