Pressure Vessel Stress Analysis in ANSYS
Hi, Everyone Welcome to my YouTube channel
In this video, we perform a static structural analysis of a Pressure Vessel in ANSYS Workbench.
🔧 Simulation Setup Overview:
Pressure Vessel material: Stainless Steel (Tensile Yield Strength = 207 MPa)
Supporting legs (yellow): Structural Steel
Vessel made of 3 welded parts
Internal pressure applied: 0.4 MPa
🎯 Objective:
Calculate stress distribution and check whether the vessel is safe under the given pressure using stress-level analysis.
✅ Defining materials with different yield strengths
✅ Applying internal pressure on the vessel
✅ Interpreting von-Mises stress results
✅ Verifying design safety using stress/safety factor comparison
✅ Real-world application of Pressure Vessel Design Standards
