RACER: Dan Gurney and Sons on Indy 500 Celebration

Dan Gurney wasn't sure whether to smile, laugh, cry or all of the above when his four sons rolled onto the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in four of his creations last Sunday morning before the 99th Indianapolis 500.

"Those are my babies, all of them," said The Big Eagle, "my sons and my cars. It's a very proud moment."
Alex Gurney, a fine racer in his own right, drove Gordon Johncock's winning 1973 STP Eagle while older brother Justin wheeled the 1969 Eagle chassis that his dad finished second with. Jimmy Gurney strapped on Al Unser's Coors Light Eagle from 1983 and Danny Gurney was in Bobby Unser's 1968 Indy winning Eagle.
