Commander addresses contracting bid and award process

Lt. Col. Sonny Avichal, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, speaks to the Society of American Military Engineers Oak Ridge Post Sept. 8, 2020 during a live streaming event. He presented an overview of how the Nashville District serves the region by providing collaborative water resource engineering solutions, world class public infrastructure management and environmental stewardship for the Cumberland-Tennessee River Systems. In this segment he advises on the contracting bid and award process. SAME unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management, cyber security, project planning, contracting and acquisition, and related disciplines in support of national security.
