Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle capability pushed to the limit

The 2nd/ 14th Light Horse Regiment completed capability testing of their Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles (CRV) at the Townsville Field Training Area. They live-fired their MAG-58 machine guns, the new digitised 30mm Main Turret, and smoke canisters from their Grenade Launching System on the range.

The Boxer CRV crews also honed their vehicle craft through rugged terrain and fighting against a theoretical enemy across the landscape. This was the first activity where they could fully test their transition training from the Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV), exercising a combination of old and new armoured fighting vehicle tactics.
