How to lower commercial building heating hot water temps - save energy | electrification
Learn how to lower heating hot water HHW temperatures in commercial buildings to significantly reduce energy use - and the capex and opex associated with switching heating from gas boilers to heat pumps - a key step for building electrification. A2EP is hosting two workshops to support the electrification of commercial buildings.
Who should attend?
- building owners and operators
- facility managers
- council asset managers & engineers
- energy consultants
This four-hour workshop will combine practical guidance, peer learning, and first-hand case studies from leading building owners and operators. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend site tours of operational heat pump installations, reinforcing learning through real-world application.
As a result of last year’s workshops, dozens of buildings underwent HHW temperature lowering programs during the winter of 2025, resulting in more than 80% of buildings reducing HHW temperatures to 55C, to greatly reduce the CAPEX and OPEX of the electrified heating solution.
Presenters for these workshops:
- Michael Snow from Turner & Townsend
- Julian Sutherland from JLL
- Hosted by Peter Haenke and Jarrod Leak from A2EP
The day will also include a tour of a near-by heat pump and electrification case study installation.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Limited tickets available!
Ticket prices:
A2EP Members: $185 + GST
Non-A2EP members: $395 + GST
Register now for this opportunity to learn, discuss, and network with professionals dedicated to making commercial buildings more energy-efficient and sustainable.
