Franken Draws Gift For Reporter Who Called MN "Worst Place To Live"
Last year Washington Post reporter Chris Ingraham wrote an article claiming Red Lake County in Minnesota to be the “absolute worst place to live” in the United States. Shortly Senator Al Franken not only called Chris out, but challenged him to correct the record.
Chris did indeed correct the record. First, he spent a few days last summer touring the County—meeting with dairy farmers, traveling the prairies, and talking with small business owners. And now, six months later, he’s actually packing his bags and moving his family from Washington, D.C. to Northwest Minnesota.
Franken is ecstatic about Chris’ newfound appreciation for Minnesota, and took some time today to draw him a housewarming gift: a map of the United States personalized to Chris.
