The living room is often the focal point of a home. For the Harris family of seven, it’s a jungle gym, a homework nook, and an important space for family time. Their goal? To bring new life to this room where much of their life happens. Starting with a shopping trip to Furnitureland South, designer Bridgett Mazer has a plan to create a lighter, brighter space that feels less formal and more family-friendly.

About Design Rescue:
The Harris family is preparing to put their home on the market in North Carolina. One problem? They underwent a major renovation when design trends were very different - specifically when Old World, with its Tuscan tile, ornate textures and palette of earthy brown tones, was the style. Now this family of seven is enlisting the help of interior designer Bridgett Mazer to bring their home out of the past and into the present. They're in need of a Design Rescue!
