Around 1,000 anti-lockdown protesters were seen marching once again through Berlin's central districts on Sunday to mark one year since their first protests against the measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The protests remained mostly peaceful, despite a few small incidents between police and demonstrators. Footage shows a man being forcibly detained after not wearing a mask and a number of arrests being made in the popular Alexanderplatz area.

A separate protest took place just down the road at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Here hundreds of protesters marched behind a huge banner that read '"When is your red line crossed."

Germany has recorded 2,786,345 confirmed coronavirus cases since the outbreak began. Thus far, there have been 76,468 virus-related deaths to date.
