Dr. Dhiren Shah is recognized as amongst the best Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Gujarat at CIMS Hospital. He is reputed as one of the world’s finest surgeons and has performed one of the highest successful cardiac surgeries and operations in India.He is the first cardiac surgeon to perform a heart transplant in Gujarat,and has completed 11 heart transplant surgeries in total as of Jul'2020.He has over 12,000 adult cardiac surgeries including complex bypass surgeries & nearly 500 minimally cardiac surgeries to his name,and has over a hundred paediatric cardiac surgeries performed.He is a member of workforce committee of health ministry of Government of India and ICMR for developing the STG for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.He is also a member of workforce committee of Government of Gujarat for developing SOTTO and Transplant program in Gujarat.He is the first cardiac surgeon to do Trans Aortic TAVR in India.He is also the first cardiac surgeon to do successful hybrid bypass in India.
