Pennine Bridleway and Sustrans Route 68: Mini Three Day Trip

We were meant to be cycling from Roscoff, France around the coast to Amsterdam. Then we were getting the ferry and the train back to Sowerby Bridge. Covid put an end to that plan so we needed to come up with another idea. As we only had three days available I suggested getting the train to Buxton and cycling back home. The reason I came up with Buxton is for us it requires using the Northern train company which is good because you don't need to pre book your bikes on the train. The reason I suggest this lower part of the Pennine Bridleway is because I have already done the top half and the Mary Townley Loop. So it would sort of complete route, we started in Buxton and not Middleton and we also jump on and off the bridleway to tie in some sections of the Sustrans route 68. So there are still some sections of the bridleway that I need to complete, but I will need to do it again when I do the Great North Trail all the way from Middleton to John O Groats.

So the video is just a little showcase of the beautiful views and trails we have around here. Plus my partner has done a lot of road touring and I want to get her into more off road touring so she will do the Great Tour Divide Route from Canada to Mexico. I have done the road route and I would love to do the off road route with her. Being a mountain biker it just makes sense getting her skills built up for off road too.
