Timelapse footage shows scale of lorry queues in south-east

Brexit uncertainty and stockpiling has caused huge queues of lorries in Kent. There was a five-mile tailback on the M20 approach to the Channel tunnel and long queues on the same motorway between Capel-le-Ferne and the port of Dover. Many businesses are stockpiling goods in an effort to avoid the expected disruption of cross-Channel deliveries when Britain leaves the EU at the end of December
