As Hurricane Dorian tracked just offshore of the United States mainland, our team positioned ourselves in several coastal communities along the way. At some points during out chase from FL to SC, the eye remained only about 20-30 miles offshore keeping the worst of the wind and surge out to sea. We called off the chase in Myrtle Beach, SC due to exhaustion after days of following the storm. The next morning Dorian made landfall in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In total, we drove nearly 3,000 miles in pursuit of this historic storm.
