The Beatles were in costume to rehearse the roles in “What A Night”, a traditional Victorian pantomime in which John played the the villainous Sir John Jasper and George the heroine Ermyntrude, who is saved by ‘Fearless Paul the Signalman’. Ringo’s role was to run around the stage sprinkling paper snow
