It is believed that coconut rice is a dish originally enjoyed by the Efik people of Cross River state Nigeria but as people travel in search of greener pastures, they carry memories they hold dear along with them.
In this recipe, I shared a step by step guide on how to cook authentic Efik coconut rice, with all the do(s) and don't(s).
I also shared the small talks I shared with my mom in the course of cooking and this brought back amazing memories of my child hood and my Mom 😭.

Meanwhile allow me brag to you that coconut rice is such a crowd pleaser 😁😁😁. In fact no Efik wedding, burial, coronation celebration etc is complete without the efik traditional coconut rice.
