Cheaper to make, no rare earth materials, high efficiency and improved longevity? One of the newer, no magnets, electric motors soon to come to market. Interesting stuff.
Added a question mark to the claims after reading the comments. This has sparked some debate. As a newbie* to this stuff (i.e. knowing little or nothing!*), this has been very interesting - thanks for all the comments guys!
