Raspberry Pi Desktop on an Old PC like Intel NUC

Step by step instructions for installing Debian with Raspberry Pi Desktop from bootable USB stick to the drive of an old personal computer such as my Intel NUC DE3815TYKE from 2014 with Intel Atom CPU and just 2GB RAM. Download Raspberry Pi Desktop image from: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspberry-pi-desktop/
Use balenaEtcher to flash the ISO on a USB stick:https://www.balena.io/etcher/
Please note that all previous data on the USB stick will be wiped out!
