Covaxin Phase 3 Trial Currently Underway, Says AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria

Coronavirus Vaccine News Update: India has got 2 Covid Vaccines in two days i.e. Covishield & Covaxin. The government plans to include nearly one crore health workers in the first batch of vaccine receivers, whenever a Covid-19 vaccine is approved for use in India. This will be followed by nearly two crore frontline workers (police, security personnel, municipal workers and other essential workers), the government said. In the third batch of vaccine receivers, the government plans to include 27 crore senior citizens.

Speaking on India Today's special show Newstrack with Rahul Kanwal, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria said, "Phase 3 clinical trials for Covaxin are still going on". Watch full bulletin.
