"LAS VIUDAS INVISIBLES" es ante todo es una historia de esperanza.
Un documental sobre la vida de las viudas en la India, un grupo de personas que consta de unos 40 millones de mujeres, marginadas y expulsadas de sus hogares y de la sociedad a la muerte de sus maridos, siguiendo la tradición y la antigua superstición que ha transmitido de generación en generación que son un símbolo de la mala suerte y la causa de la muerte de sus maridos. Están condenadas a la más absoluta marginación y a la invisibilidad social. Pero hoy, miles de mujeres están empezando a ser conscientes de sus derechos, una pequeña llama parece haberse encendido.
