Notes: Redwood Empire Whiskey is a California based distillery that produces hand crafted whiskies inspired by the rugged beauty of the Northern Californian Landscape inside the national parks where the redwoods reside.
The name “Grizzly Beast” is inspired by the giant sequoia located in the Yosemite National Park and the Mattole Beast located in the Humboldt Redwood State Park. This is a bottled in bond too which carries the rules of the Bottled in Bond Act 1897. One Distiller, One Distillery, One Distilling Season, 100 Proof & Four Years Old minimum.

As we dive into this nose, milk chocolate explodes into the nose - Yak definitely gets boujee Milka Chocolate from Europe! Lime zest comes through plus some honey, green oak and some medicinal cherry (some of these notes really grew post tasting)

Palate, medium viscosity with a great spice coating across the tongue.

As I take this one down, short finish of mint and this lemon meringue pie note!

Onto the SIP / SHOOT / SINK method;

SIP - Quality pour, can sit and drink it all night 🥃
SHOOT - Treat this like Fireball/Sheepdog at a bar 🔫
SINK - Drain worthy pour 🚰
