What is this Mystery Scale?

My website: http://bitly.com/mastergtr Here are 2 blues licks using the Mystery Scale, which a student asked me about. Remember that scales are just a collection of notes - it's what you do with them that matters.

Learn the intervals of the scale and chords - this will make you able to navigate chord changes and always know which notes are strong. This kind of music theory is incredibly useful.

The minor blues scale has the intervals 1, m3, 4, b5, 5, 7 so when you add the Major Third to the mix, you have a new scale, but as you can hear in this lesson, it sounds very bluesy and cool! Ya?
