Canon PowerShot V1, Why'd I buy this Camera?

So the Canon PowerShot V1 rolled out about a year ago. Although intrigued by the premise of this camera, I saw its 16-50 mm lens(approx Full Frame equivalent) and initially thought it wouldn't work for me due to the 'reach'. Typically in a point and shoot camera I want about 24-100mm. But this camera's other capabilities kept me thinking of it, and I recently decided to give it a try. I paid $849, the sale price.

First thing I decided to do was put the V1 up against the Nikon Z8, a top of the line Full Frame sensor camera I use when I want the best possible output. It's an unfair David and Goliath type of comparison, but we'll get to see how much ground the V1 held against a much more expensive, and a lot larger camera. Shot 4K 60.
