Commercial VS homemade molding sand

What I wanted to say in the beginning is that I didn't receive anything from Artisan Foundry for free or didn't get pay to promote their products.
I want to improve the quality of my castings so I bought trail packs of commercial molding sands to what kind of results I would get.
I found a website www.artisanfoundry.co.uk where you can by supplies for metal casting.
I bought:
Bromsgrove Greensand 5Kg (Trial pack)

Mansbond Oil Sand 5Kg (Trial Pack)

I wasn't too impressed with the results for the Bromsgrove Greensand but I was very impressed with Mansbond Oil Sand.
