Let's Play: The Simpsons - Hit & Run (Longplay)

So most people know about the GTA series, a line of games where in each one you complete missions that you're given by random people, blow shit up, and run from the cops. It's a pretty solid franchise. A lot of minors love to play it, but disproving parents stop some kids from playing them because of nudity and blood/murder. So Vivendi Universal and a bunch of other people after creating the super fun Simpsons: Road Rage Crazy Taxi knockoff, got together once again to knock off of another popular franchise and created this game; a satirical sandbox game that incorporated GTA's fun open world gameplay into Springfield, where you could do all the stuff Micheal, Tommy, Carl, and all the GTA protagonists do, this time as Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, and... Apu. Honestly, Apu is a bit of an out of place character. All the playable characters were based on Simpson family members, and then they just randomly threw Apu out there. I kinda wished that Grandpa Simpson would be a playable character. Hell, you play as him for a bit during the final battle, so why he couldn't be an actual playable character beats me. After Marge fed him trucker pills in level 5 and turned him into Twitchy, he could have been playable in the next level from his newfound energy. But I digress, this game is pretty clever, and absolutely fun. It plays just like a GTA game, and those are always fun. Following missions, getting in street races, running from the cops, its all here in this game. And the feeling of freedom is incredible. You can drive anywhere within the limit of the levels, all of which are pretty big. Places from the show are implemented as well, so its easy to come across familiar places like Kamp Krusty and the Kwik-E-Mart. All in all, this game is great. Taking fun elements from the GTA series, and placing them in the world of The Simpsons.
