POISON (Bret Michaels) & SIMPLY RED (Mick Hucknall) on GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE

Poison's Bret Michaels and Simply Red's Mick Hucknall on GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE talk to host Stu Jeffries on the May 26 1989 show on CBC Television. Included are the week's Top 20 Albums and trivia from Bret Michaels. US glam metal band Poison had huge success from the mid-80s to the mid 90s, selling over 30 million records worldwide. Simply Red were a Manchester, England group originally called The Frantic Elevators. They adopted the name Red after lead singer Mick Hucknall's nickname Red, the colour of his hair, and when asked by a confused manager what their name was they replied Red. Simply Red ... and the name stuck. The soul band had their first worldwide hit with "Holding Back the Years" in 1984, and over 25 years has sold 50 million albums.
