Specializing in one sport vs playing EVERYTHING!!

Parents! This is a great example of a topic that's become more and more polarizing over time and it's sadly only going to get louder and more pressurized. As many know, I'm a huge advocate of playing as many sports as possible for as long as possible. Eventually. choices will need to be made, but the longer a child can play everything--the more well rounded they will be. But at this age (10,11) play everything!

This is from last night's playoff basketball game...a fairly innocuous, non-threatening situation turned into an easy layup simply by instinctually leaning on a baseball AND QB background. You never know when it will show up, but it will.
