Dear America: Jamaican Stereotypes

Moving to America was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. Before I was known as Yaadman Etan I migrated to America for a fresh start in life but living in America was unlike anything I really and truly expected. I quickly learned that many Americans are ignorant and proud, I have been associated with ridiculous Jamaican stereotypes and I assumed American people would know better. That is when I learned that the American stereotype was that Americans are ignorant.
Many of these scenarios are real and have indeed happened to me though slightly exaggerated. These America vs Jamaica scenarios are always funny, especially for those who have experienced both sides. Personally if I were to choose between Jamaica vs USA I would always pick life in Jamaica.
