Support for children of poor migrants at The Janusz Korczak School in Bangkok

Joseph Maier, a Catholic priest, established The Janusz Korczak School in 2004. It is situated in Klong Toei, a poor district of Bangkok. It supports the access to education to children of poor migrants, who came from neighbouring countries (Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos). They are often orphans and street children who do not have Thai citizenship. They do not even know the Thai language in many cases and therefore cannot attend Thai educational institutions. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bangkok has been supporting the school and children for several years through the Polish Aid projects.
