Maple Leaf Rag - Joplin

Hi, this is me playing the Maple Leaf Rag, which is considered as the difficultest rag ever written by Joplin (?1868 - April 1, 1917).

It was written around 1897 and was published in 1899 by John Stark, who heard the original piece while at a bar, where Joplin was working as a "Professor" (a nickname for pianists who playes at whorehouses or bars) and tapping his feet to the rythm. After the piece was finished, he walk over to Scott and asked him if he wrote it. Joplin said yes and was told to bring it the next morning. So Joplin did, along with the manuscript, and played for Stark and his family, who was visting that morning. Stark didn't wan't to publish it because it was too difficult, but Starks daughter pushed him to. And after publishing it, it sold over 1 million copies, making the Maple Leaf the first and only solo instrument piece ever to pass 1 million copies.

This piece took me about a month to learn, and is now extremely easy to play. YAY!!!!! Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
