Wall Street ends sharply higher after jobs | REUTERS

All three major U.S. stock indexes posted robust gains. The tech-heavy Nasdaq led the pack, rising 2% with an assist from Apple, while the Dow gained nearly 1.2%, and the S&P 500 added more than one-and-a-quarter percent.
