Friends and admirers gathered in at the SVA Theatre in NYC on July 15, 2016 to celebrate the life and achievements of the great filmmaker/poet/photographer Abbas Kiarostami, who had passed away 11 days earlier in Paris after 3 months of questionable medical treatment in Iran.. Organized by his long-time friends and colleagues, Peter Scarlet and Nazzy Beglari, the event aimed to speak as simply as possible of this unique man and his achievements.
