Happy NOT YET New Year!

It's that time of year again! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... wait... it's not the new year just yet! Did you know that the Sikh New Year falls in the month of Chet, which is around mid-March of the Gregorian calendar?

To be clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating the New Year with the rest of the world - make yourself some resolutions, go to the Gurdwara and be with Guru Ji and Sangat (congregation) when the clock strikes 12. But it's important to incorporate the Bikrami calendar used in Sikhi.

As we wish our friends and family Happy 'Gregorian' New Year, let's take this opportunity to learn and educate others about the Sikh New Year too!
