From a $150 TRYOUT To NBA STARTER Within A YEAR? The David Nwaba Story. In this video I talk about how david nwaba became a quality nba player and fringe starter only a year after paying the Reno Bighorns $150 to tryout for their d league (now g league) team. His quality play in the nba g league earned him a 10 day contract with the los angeles lakers in march 2017. The lakers then signed him to a full contract and he started his first game the following day. He was waived by the lakers and picked up by the bulls where he has been a key rotation player and started 3 games for them so far this season. David Nwaba wasn't even recruited by a d1 school, didn't get any offers to play overseas and is now currently in the NBA. It's hard to believe that he has to pay $150 dollars for a trial and now he's set to become a multi millionaire in the next few years if he keeps up this level of play
