Welcome to our cozy cottage this fine spring day as we spend the day baking and enjoying little moments in our day.

Something I’ve wanted to talk about lately is how living slow and embracing the simple life isn’t about everything being perfect and beautiful. Sometimes these short clips into our life may seem like all we do is light candles, have cozy baking days, and read books :) I do find all these things comforting and a beautiful addition to my day! However, I want to share that slow living is a mindset, a perspective, habits, and a life of contentment.

Slow living isn’t a trend for me it's a lifestyle I have embraced for years, I really learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of every day. I’m a romantic at heart, with a very practical lifestyle approach “ keep it simple”. I grew up on a farm and I think that furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset. I hope you enjoy this cozy baking day at the cottage and my take on a slow living mindset.

We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what stage of remodeling we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me and I can’t imagine it any other way.
