2020 Arcadia HS Track Renovation (Part 1)

During the summer of 2020, the Arcadia (CA) High School stadium will undergo a multi-phase renovation of the track and field facility. In this video, aerial footage shows the complete removal of all three layers of existing track surfacing from the main oval as well as the two D-rings positioned beyond the football end zones. On the oval, this footage also shows the in-progress removal of nearly 12 inches of asphalt substrate and soil. This will be replaced with an entirely new substrate. By this stage, one can also see that a new slot drainage system has been installed (just inside Lane 1) along the home straightaway as well. Aerial footage provided by Dylan Stewart.
