Three More Ideas to Change Your Life
Jim Rohn taught me lot that helped me build my business and find success. Here are three more concepts he taught me:
1. The things that are easy to do are also easy not to do.
Most of the activities you do to build a Network Marketing business are easy to do. It’s easy to find someone to talk to, call them, tell them your story, share your product, attend an event, show up, etc. But they are also easy not to do. It’s easy to blow it off, not show up, or hide. You have the choice of one of two pains: the pain of discipline in the short term to do the easy thing, or the pain of regret in the long term to not do the easy thing. The pain of discipline weighs ounces, while the pain of regret weighs tons. So, I wish you don’t go through the pain of regret just because you didn’t do the little things that could lead to a big life. Do the easy things that other people choose not to do. That’s what will separate you from the average. That’s what will make you a professional.
2. Don’t wish things were easier. Wish you were better.
Have you ever wished that this profession was easier? It’s hard. People regret you, have biases against the profession, are too busy, or get distracted. This profession is hard, heavy, and emotional. But Jim Rohn taught me to not wish it was easier, but wish you were better. Life is hard sometimes, but use that opportunity to get better instead of wishing for it to get easier. Wish you were better. Get stronger, wiser, more powerful, and more influential. That’s what I did when things got tough. I said, “I’m not going to blame. I’m just going to get better.”
3. Life doesn’t respond to need. Life responds to deserve.
You can say, “I need money, a job, or training.” But life doesn’t respond to need. Life responds to deserve. If you deserve it, you’ll get it. So, work hard to deserve somebody’s attention, those commission, that rank advancement, to earn your place on stage, and other things this profession can give you. Instead of telling the world what you need, Go out and work and you’ll deserve it.
