25. How to Permanently Dye a Pair of Leather Shoes

A New York City lawyer learning to sew (mainly for work) in her non-billable time using fabrics made from natural fibers in an effort to reduce the impact on the environment from our fashion waste.

I’m using Saphir products here as I feel this brand produces the best result with minimum premium over other brands. I purchased my supplies from Amazon.com and also from my local cobbler.

So far from dying 4 pairs of shoes, each pair used about 1/10 bottle of the shoe dye (each bottle is just under $15). The saphir shoe lotion and the shoe cream are about $10 each. So a really cheap DIY project!
