Need For Weed - Main Theme Tune - By Pete Carroll (Vocals By James Stannard)

The Main Theme for Hagfilm's stoner comedy Need For Weed featured heavily in the series, and was originally intended to play over the films opening credits, back in the day when i had intended an opening credits sequence a little more like those at the opening of National LAmpoons European Vactation - I'd asked Pete to create a catchy theme with a kind of Holiday Road feel to it that was going to play over close up of the skinning up table from Aaron and Trips flat.

But i soon created the opening credits that we see today on the start of episode one, set to Psydwards and Legohead's 'Open The Pot Lid' with travelling credits played over a negative road.

In the films intended form, this excellent and perfect theme tune would have only have been heard in the Birmingham Montage - but thankfully in episode format we managed to make the most of it.
