Model A Rebuild with insert bearings and T5 transmission
Thinking I would remove some shims to tighten up the motor, I got a surprise when I dropped the oil pan. Insert bearings and a balanced crankshaft. For me, this was actually easier for a rebuild than redoing babbitt. So the task was started, and I highlighted modifications that I came across. Valve tappets, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate were altered on this car. I also wanted to return some of the original Model A components. An updraft carburetor (Marvel-Schebler) with GAV control, original distributor with manual spark advance and a foot starter. The transmission is a TREMEC T5 and wow this is one alteration worth keeping. Check it out.
