Ma'ikwe Ludwig & the Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage

As a young woman, Ma’ikwe Ludwig was torn between her ambition to redress some of the world's wrongs and her aspiration for a quiet spiritual life in harmony with nature. The answer came to her after visiting and living among many intentional communities around the world. In 1997, back in the beautiful state of Missouri, she decided to participate in the creation of the now world-renowned intentional community called “Dancing Rabbit”. Thanks to rural Missouri’s absence of building codes, the village is a living experiment of alternative housing and Ma’ikwe finds herself as both the Executive Director of Dancing Rabbit, and a spokesperson for a collaborative and sustainable lifestyle that countless frustrated post-consumers are now dreaming of.
